Hello!
I was reading a book about Piet Mondrian. I was already familiar with his later works but after reding the book I got to see his early works too. I was impressed by the evening landscapes and I had to try landscape painting. I started painting the sky, trying to create the last moments of the sunset. I painted wet on wet because I wanted to mix the colours smoothly. I painted the ocean with same technique using little darker shade. Next I painted the shore and the silhouette of the lighthouse with black. After that I painted all with thinned black to create falling darknes. I painted light to the lighthouse and rubbed off some of the thinned black around the lighthouse to make the light clow. I finished the painting by creating reflection of the lighthouse.
